Get involved as a volunteer intern.
Are you interested in creativity, analogue photography and archives? Do you have time to contribute to a meaningful creative and educational initiative?
The Slow Camera Exchange within Cork City Library in partnership with MTU CCAD, and UCC Library’s Photographic archive are recruiting a team of volunteer interns. The interns will work on creating a digital archive of images that will be used in education, research and in creative processes. The internship will involve cataloguing and scanning images and uploading a wide variety of analogue photographs taken between 2000 and 2018 by Hermann Marbe. This is a legacy project, which will allow his creative vision, his curiosity, and his commitment to exchange and values around inclusive learning to live on.
About the Slow Camera Exchange
The Slow Camera Exchange is an initiative that commenced in 2022 with the development of a borrowing library of analogue cameras that belonged to Hermann Marbe. The cameras are used in community education programmes and by artists and students.
The digital archive is the next stage of the project.
